I love these [Sprout] challenges especially ones that are around 4 - 6 weeks in length. It's manageable and not too overwhelming. Making sure I fit it into my day makes me more productive at my job, I schedule it like I would a Doctor's appointment.
One day on the BC Ferries site, I saw Sprout and I thought "why not give it a try?" Now I think "WOW, what a great idea", I am so happy I joined. Since I have become a member of Sprout it has given me daily goals I look forward to achieving. It has helped me become motivated to be more active. I even lost 10lbs from the 30x30 challenge.
We can demonstrate that our employees who have embraced this program are eating healthier, exercising more and generally feeling better. There has also been a corresponding positive influence on morale.
Employees are engaged and having fun which increases participation and encourages them to stay with the program. Personally, I have taken part in the Sprout activity since late May.I've lost 10 pounds and am benefiting from healthier eating habits and more exercise.
Sprout has been a great wellness partner for ATB. When we signed on to try the platform out we were immediately impressed by the level of service provided and the response from our organization. Each new challenge we launch generates many more sign ups on the site and the feedback from our team members has been excellent, for some it is life changing to have this tool in place. The Sprout platform is an important component in delivering on our health and wellness strategy and making ATB The Place to Work.
The program is already having a positive impact by helping people realize how easy it is to make healthier choices at work and at home. People need information, ideas and reminders, and that is what Sprout provides. The mentality around the office is shifting towards promoting healthy choices and we're all learning tricks from each other. I feel good about the work I'm doing with Sprout.
It is the most interesting wellness initiative I have seen and we have been looking at different initiatives for the last four years.
I've always been trying to do more to be healthier. Sprout motivated me to stop procrastinating and start moving. I'm adding more activities into my day such as taking the stairs, walking more often and eating lots of fruits and vegetables. I'm even doing up to 100 squats a day! The Sprout program, especially the challenges, gives me the encouragement that I need. And, I'm feeling more energized and productive because of it.
Before Sprout launched I knew I should be doing more to be active, but hadn't taken the time to actually do it. With the help of Sprout, I'm conscious of the choices I make every day. I take the stairs instead of the elevator. At home, I reach for a glass of water now instead of pop. By tracking my activities on Sprout, I have a better idea of what I'm doing and where I can do more.
